What is DAXXIFY?
DAXXIFY (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is a prescription botulinum toxin type A injection. For cosmetic care, the FDA approves it for temporarily improving moderate to severe glabellar lines, the vertical “11” lines that form between your eyebrows when you frown.
DAXXIFY uses a peptide-based formulation and works by temporarily reducing activity in the targeted muscles. That can soften expression lines without changing the underlying structure of your face.

Potentially longer-lasting
In clinical studies, DAXXIFY demonstrated a median duration of approximately six months for improvement in glabellar line severity under the study’s defined assessment criteria. Individual results vary, and six months of improvement is not guaranteed for every client.
02 / ONSET
Results develop over days
Some people notice improvement within a few days. Full assessment should allow time for the product’s effect to develop. Your response may differ from someone else’s.
03 / PERSONALIZATION
Duration isn’t everything
Facial movement, muscle activity, anatomy, dose, and treatment goals all matter. A longer-lasting effect can be a benefit, but it also means waiting longer if you dislike a result.

All four are botulinum toxin products, but they are not interchangeable. They have distinct formulations, product-specific potency units, approved indications, and clinical evidence.
One reason people ask about DAXXIFY is its potential for longer-lasting frown-line results. That doesn’t automatically make it the best choice for everyone. A shorter-duration neurotoxin may better match your treatment history, preference for flexibility, or goals.

Important: 40 DAXXIFY units ≠ 40 Botox units
For FDA-labeled cosmetic treatment of glabellar lines, DAXXIFY’s recommended dose is 40 of its own units, divided into five sites. Botulinum toxin units from different products cannot be directly compared or converted.

What areas can DAXXIFY treat?
The FDA-approved cosmetic indication for DAXXIFY is moderate to severe glabellar lines, often called the “11s” between the eyebrows, in adults.

Safety first
DAXXIFY safety and what to discuss before treatment
Common adverse reactions reported in cosmetic glabellar-line trials include headache, eyelid drooping (ptosis), and facial muscle weakness. Bruising and injection-site reactions are also possible.
Boxed warning: Effects of DAXXIFY and other botulinum toxin products can spread from the injection area. Rare but serious symptoms include difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing, which require immediate medical attention. Symptoms can appear hours to weeks after treatment.
DAXXIFY must not be used in someone with a known hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin products or formulation components, or an infection at the proposed injection site.
